ERA ASIAN RESEARCH EXCELLENT AWARDS

AIM

The ERA Asian Research Excellent Award 2024 aims to recognize and celebrate the outstanding contributions of researchers from Asia who have demonstrated excellence in advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) through their work. This prestigious award seeks to highlight and reward exceptional achievements in various fields of science and technology, emphasizing innovation, commercialization, education, and research.

General Terms and Conditions for Applicants

  1. Have experience working in the field of education, research, social enterprise, and other related fields only.
  2. Have experience working in any Asian country / affiliated institutions or company.
  3. Did not win any award from ERA from the same category in last two years.
  4. Can apply for more than one award, but only can obtain one award per year.
  5. Must pay the processing fee of USD30 per application per award. The processing fee is waived for all active ERA members.
  6. Have good record of ethical compliance, conducts, and without any active legal disputes.
  7. Produced at least 5 Scopus Indexed Papers in the relevant fields, except for the category of Commercialization and Product Innovation and Education.
  8. A full curriculum vitae must be submitted with sufficient evidence, including certificates, proof of intellectual properties, and paper published, in PDF format. Online evidence (with website links) is not accepted.
  9. The judging will be conducted by the international judging committee.
  10. Each category of award will have up to three recipients, unless a tie occurs in judging.
  11. The decision by the judges is final. The organizer will not entertain any communication or dispute on the outcomes of the awards, unless it is concerning ethical compliance, conduct, and legal disputes of the award recipients.

  3. Evidence of projects and grants in related fields.

Technology and Innovation

  1. Evidence of publication with good impact in any engineering technology or information technology related fields.
  2. Evidence of knowledge transfers, such as conference presentation, keynote addresses, and workshop conducted.
  3. Evidence of projects and grants in related fields.

Commercialization and Product Innovation

  1. Evidence of product commercialized and number of communities/customer/users benefited from the product(s).
  2. The product should be beneficial and should not produce negative impact to the society.

Education

  1. Evidence of research with good impact in related fields.
  2. Evidence of knowledge transfers, such as conference presentation, keynote addresses, and workshop conducted.
  3. Evidence of projects and grants in related fields.
  4. Evidence of effective conduct of the teaching and learning will be an advantage, for example the number of communities/ schools/ students benefited from the research outcomes/ projects.

Chemistry and Biochemistry

  1. Evidence of research with good impact in related fields.
  2. Evidence of knowledge transfers, such as conference presentation, keynote addresses, and workshop conducted.
  3. Evidence of projects and grants in related fields.

Environment Sciences

  1. Evidence of research with good impact in related fields.
  2. Evidence of knowledge transfers, such as conference presentation, keynote addresses, and workshop conducted.
  3. Evidence of projects and grants in related fields.

Biological and Environmental Nanotechnology

  1. Evidence of research with good impact in related fields.
  2. Evidence of knowledge transfers, such as conference presentation, keynote addresses, and workshop conducted.
  3. Evidence of projects and grants in related fields.

Biomedical, Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Sciences

  1. Evidence of research with good impact in related fields.

Microbiology

  1. Evidence of research with good impact in related fields.

Certificates for Participation and Award Recipients

  1. All participants will receive a merit certificate from ERA.
  2. The Award recipients will receive a certificate of achievement from ERA.
  3. The list of all recipients will be announced and published on the ERA website.

Important Dates

  • Call for nomination: 15 August 2024
  • End of nomination: 18 October 2024
  • Announcement of Results: 15 November 2024
